Great Houses of Little Ealing
Rochester House is one of the oldest surviving houses in Ealing, dating from the early 18th century. It was built for John Pearce, a London distiller, and named in honour of his son, Zachary Pearce, who became Bishop of Rochester.
Little Boston stood at the corner of the Ride and Windmill Road within the grounds of the Boston Manor estate. It was often let to tenants, including John Quincy Adams, later to become the 6th President of the United States, and his family between 1815 and 1817.
